Dana White spoke out to the media present at the post-fight press conference for “Dana White’s Contender Series 32”. White touched on several topics within the MMA news cycle, including Khamzat Chimaev’s double-booking and Nick Diaz’s return. Moreover, he revealed some key news for European fans pertaining to the pay-per-view event set for October 24.

UFC 254 will see Khabib Nurmagomedov (28-0) defend his status as the undisputed king against the interim champion in Justin Gaethje. The unification bout is set to bookend the UFC’s second outing to “Fight Island” following a successful first outing. What’s more, the headlining bout may mark the second last time “The Eagle” ever steps foot inside the promotion’s cage.

“Yes, It’s going to be [European] time friendly. Yes, it will. It will happen in the afternoon here.”

Chiefly, Khabib Nurmagomedov being the main event fighter for the card in question has led to a significant time change. The Dagestani fighter has a massive global fan base that extends far beyond the United States. Moreover, he’s an uber-popular fighter in the Middle East and frequently trains in several Middle Eastern locations.

Not to mention, his scrap against Dustin Poirier at UFC 242 also took place in the UAE to attract a majority of his fans. White confirmed that the October pay-per-view event would align with the local time for the convenience of the people.
