Dana White Reveals New Rules For UFC Fighters Who Are Ready To Fight

UFC president Dana White revealed he had spoken to the UFC roster on Friday, answering all the doubts and questions the fighters had. Several questions revolved around the concerns of the coronavirus pandemic and possible fighting opportunities.

White mentioned multiple times during the call, that if any fighter felt unsafe they don’t have to fight. The UFC’s president stressed that there’s no pressure whatsoever to fight.

White revealed that opportunities will come up after receiving non-public information from Donald Trump to reopen the economy.
However, White was firm in his stance of not revealing the location of ‘fight island’. White didn’t reveal details of the next card and the location for the same. Also, he mentioned that fighters from the ‘USA’ may travel to fight island.

White expressed his concern about fighting in Nevada at the Apex facility center. He revealed that he spoke to the governor of Nevada and hopes to get a card soon. He said that he’s discussing the current options with Governor Steve Sisolak. Also, the fighters who had previous cards canceled will get first preference for the upcoming cards.

White mentioned that the number of people on-site at the event will have to be reduced. So members such as cutman and cornermen might not be a part of fights and that fighters will have to make a tough call regarding the same. The other tidbits included medical service at all events. Dana White revealed that the UFC plans on pumping out fights every Saturday from May 9th. He mentioned that UFC’s trifecta meals service is banned temporarily and that they’ll start when they can.
