Jon Jones, who is aiming for a heavyweight fight in the UFC, is still to give up on his light heavyweight rivals.

Jones has recently vacated the 205 lbs strap, citing a gateway for Jan Blachowicz and Dominick Reyes to battle for the title. However, his face-off with Blachowicz has yet remained unseen.

If not in the cage, they have already spat venom on each other at social media. Jones has posted a couple of tweets and analyzed some of his light heavyweight battles before expressing his approval over further rematches.

Dominick Reyes has had his share of rivalry with Jones, where he almost beat the undefeated light heavyweight champion. However, Jones notched the victory via decision.

While many billed it to be Jones’s hardest fought battle, he clearly disagrees. As per Jones, Alexander Gustafsson has had pushed him to the deepest corner ever in his professional life.

He claims his last fight was a comfortable one, as he kept scoring points.

Despite relinquishing the division, ‘Bones’ is still taunting the top-rated light heavyweights. Recently, he had a cheeky response for Polish native Jan Blachowicz.

To cement a stern warning, Jones said that he left both Gustafsson and Cormier with fatal injuries after their respective fights.

Meanwhile, the former light heavyweight king has already targeted Stipe Miocic or Francis Ngannou for his next fight. Dana White has already confirmed that Ngannou and Miocic will battle each other soon.

After that, Jones might enjoy his shot at the heavyweight belt.

Jones has nothing more to prove himself as an elite light heavyweight in the sport’s history. Starting from veteran world champions to the top-rated youngsters, he has overpowered them all.

Now, Blachowicz and Reyes will fight for the title in the co-main event of UFC 253, headlined by ‘Adesanya vs Costa’.
