Petr Yan is not ready to buy into Marlon Vera’s claims of defeating Jose Aldo if they ever face off. The bantamweight champion lashed at ‘Chito’ Vera on social media, taking a cheeky dig at Sean O’Malley in the process.

Marlon Vera, who handed Sean O’Malley his first loss of MMA career, desired to face Jose Aldo in an interview with MMA Junkie., ‘Chito’ appeared cocky as he showed no respect for the Brazilian.

However, Yan shut him down on Twitter.

Petr Yan shows ‘No Mercy’ for Marlon Vera

The bantamweight champion tweeted and mocked Vera for his statements on Aldo. While Vera has already vanquished O’Malley, the ‘Sugar’ label is affecting his further call-outs.

Yan wrote on social media, “Did Shawn O’Malley bit him in the fight? Why he also start talking mad s*** Didn’t know it’s contagious”

No wonder O’Malley has had a tremendous impact over the division with his constant brashy mouth. While he faced his first defeat against Vera at UFC 252, the ‘Chito’ would have to pay the price for his future call-outs now.

However, Vera is still to react on Yan’s tweet and a matchup between him and Aldo looks sensible at this point.

Aldo has had an unsuccessful bantamweight debut against Petr Yan at UFC 249. Yan knocked out the Brazilian after a hard-fought battle to claim the win. If Jose Aldo does not wish to go back at the featherweight or retire, he can resurrect his relevancy against Marlon Vera in a possible matchup.

That said, Vera has already intensified the matchup from his end.

‘Chito’ has some harsh words for Aldo

Noting Aldo’s past fights, Vera said that he predicted him to lose against Conor McGregor and Max Holloway both.

“I’m sure he’s (Aldo) a sweetheart, but some fighters you just don’t like, you don’t cheer for. Every time he fought, I knew he was going to beat the guys that he beat, and I expected him to lose to Conor (McGregor). I expected him to lose to Max (Holloway). But I like him – he’s a great fighter. But I just don’t become a fanboy over the years. I don’t know, I just didn’t,” said Chito.
