

Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa have been going back and forth at each other on social media. While it is clear that they will fight each other, it is the confirmation of the fight that the fans await. Israel Adesanya updated his fans with big news regarding the same.

Adesanya put up a story on his Instagram account that showed him messaging someone. The person on the other side said that he had sent the contract for a fight. Within a couple of minutes, Adesanya put his signature on the dotted line.

“I have never ducked anyone, ever. It took two mins for me to sign. Don’t let the media fool you,” Adesanya wrote on his Instagram story.

Dana White recently said that the fight between Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa is not yet signed
Right around the time when the third event of UFC Fight Island was rolling on, news broke out that Adesanya vs Costa is official for September 19. However, during the post-fight press conference, White said that it was not true.

Dana said that not both the fighters have signed the contract yet. Paulo Costa, however, tweeted that the fight was confirmed from his end as he had signed the contract. Thus it seemed that the ball was in Adesanya’s court. Hence, Adesanya took to social media so that he can clear the air about the contractual doubts.

Israel Adesanya is coming off a win against Yoel Romero at UFC 248 in March earlier this year. In what was a rather lackluster event, Adesanya won the decision on all the three judges’ scorecards. Regardless, Romero probably shouldn’t have been there in the first place.

The Cuban was coming off back-to-back losses, the most recent one being against Paulo Costa. The Brazilian Costa was the one who was supposed to fight Adesanya in March. However, a shoulder injury forced him out of the fight. Since then the two have been going back-and-forth on social media.
The fight between the two undefeated middleweights should be full of action. Costa has earned a reputation for his pressuring style. On the other hand, Adesanya thrives on counters, thus making the fighting stylistically perfect.
