Dustin Poirier wants to take on Dan Hooker in a 25-minute bout, and Hooker has responded. Is this going to happen? And if yes, when?
Dustin Poirier last entered the Octagon for a title shot against Khabib Nurmagomedov. He faced the same fate as Conor McGregor and lost to Khabib via submission. With no opponent to fight, Poirier decided to call out Dan “The Hangman” Hooker.
Dustin Poirier changes his mind
Dan Hooker had previously called out Poirier. He did this soon after his victory over Al Laquinta. In his post-fight interview, Hooker said: “Meet me in New Zealand 2020, and I’m going to end you!”. However, Poirier seemed uninterested.
Poirier’s response wasn’t the one Hooker wanted. He said, “You’re close but not yet buddy keep punching.”
