Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor have agreed to face each other inside the octagon over social media. Moreover, McGregor was generous enough to announce that he will donate $500,000 to Dustin Poirier’s charity, The Good Fight Foundation’. The former interim champ went on social media and explained how he plans on utilizing the half a million dollars.
McGregor and Poirier initially talked about a boxing event in Ireland with all the earnings of the fight going towards charity. However, the UFC offered the fight to both of the fighters. McGregor took to Twitter and announced that he is ready for the fight, provided it took place in 2020.
Poirier then took to Twitter and revealed that he planned on using the money to build an MMA/boxing gym in Lafayette, Louisiana. This is where Poirier and Daniel Cormier grew up.

Both Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier claim of accepting the fight against each other
McGregor vs Poirier has the potential to headline a UFC PPV event. Moreover, with the recent setbacks for the promotion regarding UFC 255 and UFC 256, the two can be used to fill the void and create a spectacular show at the end of the year.
Just like Conor, even ‘The Diamond’ took to social media and said that he had accepted the fight. If both of them are assumed to be true, then the ball lies in UFC’s court. They may be working out the details surrounding the fight, such as the date of the event and the exact pay of each fighter.
I fight for a lot of things, but nothing more important to me than fighting for change and giving back @TheGoodFightFDN. The Generosity of @TheNotoriousMMA will help countless in need. I have accepted, Connor has accepted, and the fans demand it! Let’s go @ufc @espnmma
