Everyone in the MMA circuit recognizes Ali Abdelaziz as one of the most outspoken people. Many argue that he is one of the finest managers in the world. He recently took to social media to reveal what he thinks makes Tony Ferguson a good fighter if not a great one.

El Cucuy was looking to take on Abdelaziz’s top client, Khabib Nurmagomedov on April 18 at UFC 249. However, the Coronavirus epidemic and travel restrictions made it impossible for the Dagestani fighter to make his way to the fight.

This will mark the fifth time this fight has failed to materialize. Therefore, many feel that a curse has fallen on this fight. And it will never take place. However, Khabib feels otherwise.

Ferguson boasts of a record of 26 wins and 3 losses. The American is coming off of 12 consecutive wins. However, Ali Abdelaziz feels that Ferguson will not amount to much without his trainer, Eddie Bravo.

“If Tony Ferguson don’t have Eddie Bravo he will be 50/50 fighter Eddie make him dangerous”- Ali Abdelaziz on Twitter

However, as far as Abdelaziz’s claims go, Ferguson is one of the most dynamic and unpredictable fighters ever to grace the octagon. El Cucuy is easily one of the most lethal fighters on the planet.

But all things considered, every athlete needs a good coach to help them grow. Therefore, in a certain way it is acceptable to feel the way Khabib’s money man feels.
