Joe Rogan is extremely excited to be on the commentary team for UFC events again. This Saturday, we will see Joe Rogan right beside the Octagon as he joins Daniel Cormier and Jon Anik for UFC 249.

In a recent edition of the “Joe Rogan Experience”, Rogan described just how different this experience is. Sitting opposite Brendan Schaub, Rogan said,

“It’s here! We’re just a couple of days away! Here we are, Thursday. We got Friday. And then Saturday is [the] fight [night]. I gotta go. I’m gonna be in Jacksonville Florida. I’m gonna be doing commentary in an empty arena. No one’s even gonna be near me. Everybody has to be really far away from each other. We’re gonna be on separate corners of the Octagon, which fu**ing sucks.”

This development comes as some of the guidelines that the UFC and Government decided upon to ensure that there is maximum safety amid the pandemic.

However, this means that Joe Rogan will not have his pals beside him, something that is half the fun for the commentator. He said,

“When things go crazy, DC and I always grab each other! Can’t do that. Everybody is a pu**y!”

Moreover, as packed as this card is, things are sure to go crazy. For example, the main event bout between Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje will be one of the most nail-biting fights that fight fans have ever seen.

Joe Rogan does not see the logic in social-distancing at UFC 249

“But, we’re all tested! that’s what doesn’t make any sense. Not only are we all healthy fine, we’re tested. We’re tested, we’re clean, we don’t have it! [So] we don’t have to be far apart from each other.”

Rogan went on to explain that he thinks the event is safe because of the various safety procedures already in place. However, even with all the social-distancing procedures, PPE, and both the nose-swab and antibody tests in place, it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Everyone has to follow all safety measures strictly, especially now, when a fighter on the card tested positive after reaching the hotel in Jacksonville. Fortunately, even though a case came up, the event can proceed ahead, all thanks to the safety procedures in place.
