UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has had a hard time since the past few months, witnessing his father’s unfortunate demise due to COVID-19 complications.

However, ‘The Eagle’ still vows to retain his dominance inside the cage as he prepares to battle at UFC 254. Breaking a hiatus of more than a year, Khabib will probably face his toughest opponent in a deadly striker, Justin Gaethje, in October.

That said, the Dagestani champion is seeking full preparation and is confident about extending his undefeated streak to 29-0.

The UFC champion is spotted sharing the screen with Abubakar Nurmagomedov. However, the caption was quite alarming for the UFC roster. At the very least, Gaethje should probably close note of his words.

The Eagle notified the world that it’s 11 weeks remaining for his return, and everything is going as per his plan.

“11 weeks until the fight, it seems like everything is according to plan, not a day without fine art. See you on #UFC254,” wrote Khabib.

Will Justin Gaethje shock the world?

Although Khabib vows to take things as per his plan, Gaethje is one of the most unpredictable lightweights in the UFC.

Just when the entire world believed Tony Ferguson to be invincible, Gaethje outclassed him and handed him a humiliating defeat at UFC 249. ‘The Highlight’ has earned the opportunity against Khabib by silencing his critics at UFC 249.

Thus, he can impose a severe threat to Khabib inside the cage. Gaethje is just seven fights old in UFC. However, he is already on the verge of becoming a World Champion with his upcoming championship fight at UFC 254.

Yet, it is going to be a tough night for Gaethje. Khabib is not someone who keeps the fight on feet. The Dagestani would seemingly go for his signature takedown. No matter how strong Gaethje is, he would have to overcome Khabib’s top-rated wrestling. If not, it would be a long night for ‘The Highlight’.

UFC 254 will take place on October 24, 2020. The venue, date, and the remaining fight-card are yet to be deemed official by UFC administrators.
