In the opening match of UFC 251, bantamweight Davey Grant added a brutal KO win to his resume.

Grant walked into the building with an 11-4 record. The Brit was on a one fight win streak and hadn’t fought since November 2019.  His last match was against Grigorii Popov at UFC Fight Night: Magomedsharipov vs Kattar. He won that bout via a split decision. He took on Martin Day a couple of minutes ago.

Unfortunately, Grant suffered early adversity in the fight. His opponent, Martin Day, scored a knockdown in the first round. However, Grant displayed his warrior spirit and weathered the storm. He then took the fight to the ground in the second round.

Eventually, he knocked out his opponent in the third. This victory improved his record to 12-4. And extended his win streak to two. Check out the knockout sequence.

Davey Grant makes a shocking revelation to Dana White

As mentioned above, Grant suffered adversity early. And it may have cost him his jaw. After the KO sequence, Grant asked the president of the company for a Performance of the Night bonus. Additionally, he told White that he has a broken jaw.

Dana congratulated Davey for his performance.
