Amirkhani had lost his previous fight inside the octagon. The Finnish fighter’s last match did not end well for him as Shane Burgos stopped him in the third round at UFC 244. Heading into UFC 251, Amirkhani was desperate to get back in the win column.
Amirkhani and Henry were feeling each other out for most of the fight. The 31-year-old was trying to get the range down on Henry. Henry had a few moments in the fight as well. He attempted a beautiful jumping switch kick during the bout. However, the complexion of the match changed when Amirkhani shot for the single leg.

I love that transition from arm-in guillotine to anaconda. Amirkhani looks like he’s trying to take the back and then sits for the choke. Henry tried to evade and defend, so Amirkhani snaked the arm through to switch it up. Deft work.
