UFC heavyweight Francis Ngannou will receive his second title shot in the promotion against Stipe Miocic sometime soon. After setting himself up on a pedestal with four first-round KO wins consistently, Ngannou is expected to put on a show against Miocic, unlike their primary meeting at UFC 220.
However, ‘The Predator’ has already chalked up some plans for his title defense if he successfully gets past Miocic.
No, he isn’t eyeing a trilogy bout with the current champion. Instead, Ngannou has hinted at facing either of Jon Jones or Derrick Lewis in his first title defense.

Francis Ngannou has some interesting plans for his upcoming heavyweight voyage
In a recent interaction with Ariel Helwani, Ngannou predicted his upcoming journey in the heavyweight division, alongside the elites. With Jon Jones having teased a move to the heavyweight division, there’s no way he can escape ‘The Predator’.
In addition to that, Ngannou is gunning for a highly anticipated rematch against former foe Derrick Lewis.

Talking about his fascinating title defense, he said, “I think I have an undone business with Derrick Lewis, that fight never happened in my opinion and it is supposed to happen and I think this time it’s gonna be different. Very different, believe me.
“I don’t give a f*** about what’s gonna happen there but is gonna be different.”
That said, ‘The Predator’ would seemingly prefer a fight against Jon Jones over Lewis. To validate the statement, Ngannou billed a super-fight against Jones to be way more sensible and lucrative.
“I think the fight against Jon Jones will make more sense because like I am not sure, I am really not in a position to talk about that fight because people don’t want to hear about the nightmare. But at some point, it is gonna happen.
“I think in the overall, I would take the Jon Jones one because it is better at my shop, it is a better fight. It’s gonna be more lucrative,” said Ngannou.
Jon Jones and the heavyweight saga
