UK has most probably found another MMA prospect in Tom Aspinall, who recently stunned everyone by notching a vicious KO win on debut at UFC Fight Night 174. The Brit Heavyweight knocked out his rival Jake Collier in the very first round and is currently 1-0 in UFC. Although he still has a long way to go in the promotion, it’s always special to earn appraisal from veterans on debut.

Frank Mir is clearly impressed with the performance as he took to Twitter and wrote, “Welcome to the family my son”. Mir seemingly hinted at the heavyweight division. However, there can be another reason, as Aspinal seemingly looks a lot like Mir.

Meanwhile, it is the fourth UFC loss for Jake Collier. ‘The Prototype’ hasn’t been successful in registering two back-to-back wins in UFC to date. The misfortune continued as he lost against Aspinall, after winning his previous fight against Marcel Fortuna in 2017. Although his return to UFC was expected to be a special one, he faced one of the most horrific losses of his career opposite a debutant heavyweight.
