The former two-division champion has built a lasting legacy as one of the best fighters in competition. Moreover, he’s a revered symbol of professionalism and is an exemplary ambassador for the sport of MMA as a whole.

Georges St-Pierre shared his views on the undisputed 155-pound champion in Khabib Nurmagomedov. ‘The Eagle’ is arguably the best actively competing MMA fighter and has gone undefeated as a professional with 28 wins. Additionally, he has absolutely smashed through his opposition with relative ease.

“I’m 39 years old, I don’t think I can go 155 without my performance being compromised. Khabib, I believe, is the best fighter right now, on the face of the earth. On the face of the planet. He’s the best right now.”

The undisputed 155-pound champion has expressed an interest to hang up the leather gloves after his 30 pro-bout. Also, he went on record to say that he would like his final showdown under the bright lights to be against GSP. The build-up to the fight would be a grand spectacle in itself, given the magnitude of the bout.

He is slated to face off against interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 in a unification match. A victory over a game opponent in ‘The Highlight’ will further cement Nurmagomedov as the 155-pound GOAT. However, the interim champion poses a significant threat given his well-rounded game.

A match-up between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Georges St-Pierre offers a compelling narrative to fight fans.
