Georges St-Pierre wishes Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje

The Canadian noticeably doesn’t dismiss the fight by saying he would like to stay retired akin to his comments after Kamaru Usman challenged him. However, he commented on ‘The Eagle’s upcoming title defense.

“Damn! Just when I thought I’d have peace of mind…I look forward to watching Khabib and Gaethje in October. Best of luck to them.”

The former UFC two-division champion like the rest of the world will be keen on seeing how the long-awaited Lightweight unification bout plays out.

‘The Highlight’ will present ‘The Eagle’ his strongest challenge to this point given his pedigree as a wrestler. He earned the shot on the back of an incredible TKO against Tony Ferguson. Gaethje is one who will try his best to fight out of being tied down near the fence.

He knows exactly what he needs to stop, but so have many of Nurmagomedov’s previous opponents. However, they have all come and gotten conquered.

Should ‘The Eagle’ win and retain, the big-name opponents will start circulating even more. A clash with a fellow grappler in ‘GSP’ would be an enticing prospect and a fitting end to both their careers.
