After competing for almost four years in the company, Volkanovski dethroned Max Holloway to become the featherweight king. He then defeated Holloway again in the rematch and retained his belt via a split decision.
He is now waiting for a new opponent to emerge. Though the division is full of worthy challengers, there is no definite contender. Eager to fight again, the champion delivered a message to the division via social media.

“I’ve got my eye on the [featherweight] division. I want these number one contenders. And if for some reason the UFC pushed that [Cejudo fight] on me, like I said, I’ve got to get paid for it, because it’s just a waste of time for me, I believe. A waste of time for the division.”
Who do you think will Alexander Volkanovski fight next? Will it be a featherweight contender or Henry Cejudo?
