Apart from having one of the most stacked combat sports resumes of all time, Cejudo was also skilled in marketing himself. In a time when the lightest division of the UFC wasn’t getting enough attention, Cejudo single-handedly brought the spotlight back. Through his over-the-top gimmicks, he would always find a way to be in the news.

Cejudo called out a variety of opponents while he was on the top. That list, however, didn’t stop at the men necessarily. He even called out female flyweight champ Valentina Shevchenko. The two had a proper “beef” in which they even got physical, albeit in a playful manner.

Now that Henry Cejudo is retired, he has another female champ calling him out.

Two division UFC champion Amanda Nunes tried to initiate a playful banter with Henry Cejudo. ‘The Lioness’ picked the right target as she knew that ‘Triple C’ would never let go of a chance to show his other side.

In all likelihood, both Nunes and Cejudo are simply giving their fans something to look forward to while they stay away from the competition. Amanda Nunes fought most recently at UFC 250. She retained her featherweight crown by edging out Felicia Spencer.

As far as Cejudo is concerned, he announced his retirement following his victory at UFC 249. Regardless, he has stayed very active on social media. He has repeatedly claimed that a fight with featherweight kingpin Alexander Volkanovski will bring him out of retirement. Even Volkanovski has expressed interest in fighting the former Olympic gold medalist.
