In a battle of two striking forces, southpaw Darren Till will face former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker in UFC Fight Island 3 main event. Whittaker has more MMA experience than Till, holding a record of 11-3 in UFC. But on the downside, he last fought in October 2019 and lost his bout against Israel Adesanya. It has been over two years since Robert last won a match in UFC 225.

Something interesting to note is that the two fighters are identical on many scales. Both are born in December and are exactly 6 ft tall. Darren Till, however, is still making a transition from welterweight to middleweight. But a heavyweight legend like Daniel Cormier believes that the middleweight division is where Till always belonged.

UFC Fight Night 174 will witness Robert Whittaker at war!

Robert Whittaker is obviously hungry to make a comeback. He knows well that winning this important bout can strengthen his chances for a rematch against Adesanya. In the promo video, he says, “Honestly, I’m starving right now. I had my brike and I feel like I felt that spark hanged back, the fire, the hunger, to get in there and do what I do.” He added, “I love fighting. Nothing means more to me than going into the Octagon in July and smashing Darren Till.”

The Reaper surely wishes to make a statement and cement his place among the greatest in the category. He would like to regain that winning momentum he had from 2014 to 2018 when he won nine back-to-back fights.
