UFC Welterweight Mike Perry has expressed a desire to compete against 170-pound staple Nate Diaz. Speaking to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, ‘Platinum’ Perry favors himself heavily if the potential fight were to come to fruition. Perry was extremely critical of Diaz however remained cogent of the legacy that 209’s favorite son brought to the UFC.
Mike Perry is coming off a decision victory against Mickey Gall at UFC on ESPN 12 taking place in Las Vegas. The fight served as the co-headliner for the fight card set to be the final event for the promotion in America. Moreover, the organization is prepared to set up shop in Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island throughout the month of July.

“I think he’s a skinny, weak, little f***, like Mickey Gall,” Perry said. “I respect what he’s done in this sport. playing the guard game, jiu-jitsu, and sh**. He thinks he can box with (those) little weak-ass punches that he’s got – little salt and pepper punches. He doesn’t stand a chance to hit me hard enough.”
Nate Diaz last fought against Jorge Masvidal in a losing effort for the coveted BMF strap at UFC 244. Diaz is 3-2 in his last five fights and has been quite infrequent in terms of octagon appearances.

Additionally, Perry continued his barrage on ‘The Stockton slugger’ and was highly critical of his skill set in a possible match-up.
“I’d hit him on the feet (the) same way Jorge Masvidal did. Play his guard. I’d get half guard (and) sit on top of him. It’d look exactly the same way the Mickey Gall did, to be honest with you. If you guys liked that fight, then yeah, you’ll probably like the Nate Diaz fight, too because he’s a little more durable.”

“He’ll probably try to stand there and box back with me, but my power punches (are) just – I’d sit him down.”
Mike Perry has managed to bounce back from back to back losses and possibly call out a lucrative fight in the division. He has multiple doors open to him as he has flirted with the idea of a move to middleweight.
