The undefeated Paulo Costa is yet to held his hands over the UFC gold. However, many already consider him to be the uncrowned champion of the 185 lbs division. As deep as it gets, the middleweight division in UFC is filled with legit killers. Yet, Paulo Costa has managed to remain undefeated. And is arguably one of the top-listers among those ‘legit killers’.
Paulo ‘The Eraser’ Costa is expected to get a title shot against Israel Adesanya next. Although the fight is not officially on the papers, Dana White is trying to get the deal done. After ‘Miocic vs Cormier 3’ happens at UFC 252, Costa and Adesanya are assumed to collide at UFC 253.
Meanwhile, the UFC community has already started to take their respective sides between ‘Borrachinha’ and ‘The Last Style Blender’. Daniel Cormier believes that Costa can comfortably have an upper hand in any match up.

Daniel Cormier hails middleweight contender Paulo Costa
Speaking with ESPN MMA, DC revealed that Costa is one of the toughest guys he has ever seen. Now we know how many veterans have Daniel Cormier fought in his entire UFC career. Thus, it is seemingly alarming if DC hails someone as ‘tough’. As per Cormier, Paulo Costa appears like a heavyweight competing in the 185 lbs. And he can go through anyone in the division.

“It’s hard to know who is going to get the victory honestly coz as good as he is, I believe Paulo Costa is as skilled just as talented and as powerful as any guys I have seen. I mean this guy looks like heavyweight fighting at the 185 lbs” Daniel Cormier said.
The former two-division UFC champion also recalled his interaction with Costa’s trainer and detailed an exciting incident. According to DC, Costa breaks his sparring partners and they need to be replaced every week with new individuals. However, the most prominent compliment was DC comparing Costa’s dominance with former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez.
“He looks good because Paulo needs so many guys. A week and a half in, he breaks them and he has to replace his training partners because he does not go to protect these partners. He goes through you and then ‘Give me the next guy’. He reminds me of Cain (Velasquez) back in the day.” Said DC.

Daniel Cormier would probably step inside the octagon for one last time against Stipe Miocic at the headliner of UFC 252 on August 16. However, if he manages to snatch back the heavyweight strap, it might be a whole different scenario then. At this moment, Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic have got one win each over the other. Thus, UFC 252 is assumed to be the ice-breaking trilogy in the heavyweight ride.
