Recently, UFC President Dana White made a huge announcement in which he revealed a special contest for the UFC fans.

The UFC juggernaut has planned to raise money for four charities: Feeding America, Meals On Wheels, World Central Kitchen, and No Kid Hungry. For which, he will be organizing a contest. The competition will be in the form of a raffle.

White is teaming up with Hollywood star, Halle Berry. Unlike traditional rewards, Mr. White will allow the winner to make a fight of their choice. The victor will also get a “VIP UFC Experience” and a chance to dine with Halle.

“(The winner) will sit in a matchmaking meeting, and I’m actually going to let them make a fight,” White told TMZ of this contest (transcript via MMA Junkie).

Nope! No absurd super fights

White has laid down the terms and conditions. The matchmaking process will go on as usual, besides an additional guest (the winner). The victor will get to put forward his suggestions. However, he will have to defend himself in an argument with the UFC matchmakers.

“There’s a process to the matchmaking,” White explained. “What happens is there are four of us: Sean Shelby, Mick Maynard, Hunter Campbell, and me. So it’s not this (thing where) I walk in and go ‘We’re doing this, that, and the other thing.’ It’s a process. We argue. We fight. ‘This ain’t gonna happen. We can’t do this. We can’t do that.’ “

“It’s a long-drawn-out process that goes on,” White added. “They’ll be part of the bickering and the arguing and we’ll see where he comes out in the end and what he gets.”

A daunting task for the UFC

Dana White has an intimidating task ahead of him. The American businessman has promised to put 3 fights within eight days. The fight week will kick off on May 9 with Ferguson vs Gaethje as the main event. After that, the UFC will host another fight card on May 13, followed by the May 16 event.
