Jon Jones and Israel Adesanya are on a collision course. They have been going at each other for weeks. The latest exchange came from ‘The Last Stylebender’, who built on his comments of Jones being fake. In a chat with James Lynch on The Score MMA, he looked exasperated as he spoke about the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion.

“Jon Jones hides behind a character,” says Israel Adesanya

‘The Last Stylebender’ remarked that Jones does not set a good example for people.

“That’s the difference between me and Jon Jones. Jon’s fake and obviously a lot of people have been telling you guys for years. I’m sure a lot of you media people been knowing it for years because you know what happens behind the scenes. There’s stuff that you can’t report on.”

He also talks about how he is different, and just wants to be himself.

“I’m not one’s viewer, I’m not no one’s guru. I’m just Israel Adesanya and I happen to be the UFC Middleweight Champion. Jon Jones been hiding behind a character for years. For fucking years. I try to be as organically me as I can. You seen that through my career. If you like what I do. Go for it. If you don’t watch someone else.”

‘Bones’ seems to adopt the same philosophy in his life, explicitly saying so when he replied to a fan’s tweet earlier in the month.

The Top Ranked UFC Pound for Pound fighter is surely making a lot of enemies. In addition to the UFC Middleweight  Champion, he has Anthony Smith, Dominick Reyes, and Jan Blachowicz gunning for him.  All of them would want to end Bones’ lengthy streak of wins in title fights.

‘Bones’ last fight was a polarizing Unanimous decision victory over Dominick Reyes. The calls for a rematch are growing. However, the champion hinted at the ‘Prince of Cieszyn’ being his next challenger. ‘The Last Stylebender’ trounced Yoel Romero at UFC 248 and is set to face Paulo Costa next.

Will the UFC see a good draw in setting up a Jon Jones vs Israel Adesanya match? If yes, which fighter will shift weight?
