

Georges St-Pierre had a stellar career in the UFC. He cobbled up a 26-2 record in his 15-year career. In 2017 he moved up a weight class and claimed the Middleweight title in his final professional fight. As a result of this, he joined Randy Couture, BJ Penn, and Conor McGregor as the only fighters to hold titles in 2 different weight divisions.

‘GSP’ will go down as one of the greatest fighters of all time. However, in a chat with ESPN MMA’s Ariel Helwani, he revealed his favorite type of fighter. Here he also named some of his all-time favorites.

GSP first informed listeners about his favorite type of fighter.
“Some of my favorite fighters are villains, some of the guys that I like to watch the most are not necessarily the guy that are acting like role model”
Following this, the Canadian named some of the fighters he admired. He had special praise for Light Heavyweight and Middleweight fighter Chael Sonnen.

“Chael Sonnen I really liked him, I thought his trash-talking and his fighting skills was brilliant because he didn’t use profanity like a lot of the fighters. He was very smart and I always admire that of him.“

GSP said he was unable to be like Sonnen and hence he admired him. He liked the buildup to the fight and said that he was so emotionally involved that he used to have goosebumps. ‘GSP’ added that he likes to watch different fighters for different reasons. In addition to Sonnen, he also named Anderson Silva, Jon Jones, Israel Adesanya, Tito Ortiz, Chuck Liddell, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor as some other fighters he likes.

GSP retired fourteen months ago. However, he revealed that he is still in good shape. Unfortunately, he isn’t planning on returning to the Octagon. He told Ariel Helwani, “I actually don’t like to fight. I never enjoyed one second in the Octagon in my entire career. I don’t like the actual fight. It’s very stressful.”
