As a result of Conor McGregor’s ‘GOAT Thread,’ we might finally get to see a rematch between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz. When McGregor named himself as one of the GOATs in the UFC, Diaz was quick to insert himself into the mix.

The Stockton native boasted his win over the Irishman at UFC 196 and proclaimed himself as the real GOAT.

However, Diaz’s tweet did not go unnoticed. The BMF titleholder, Jorge Masvidal swiftly responded to his claims. The Cuban-American defeated Diaz in his last match at UFC 244.

Although Jorge dominated the bout until the doctor’s stoppage, many fans complained that Diaz didn’t get a fair chance to compete.

Both men have not competed since their bout at UFC 244. Although there were talks about Kamaru Usman vs Jorge Masvidal, it seems like UFC President Dana White might have different plans for the latter.

Dana White Has “Something Interesting” Planned For Jorge Masvidal And It’s Not Kamaru Usman

‘Gamebred’ followed up with another post which said, “Hope you upgraded your abs routine #supernecessary”, along with a photo of him body-kicking Diaz.

As expected, Diaz did not hold back. The American published a picture of him jabbing Masvidal. “Pull-up then,” Diaz wrote while quoting one of his earlier posts.

Immediately after UFC 244, Diaz claimed that the doctor’s stoppage was controversial. He still believes that he would have put it on Masvidal in the championship rounds.

Masvidal, on the other hand, is willing to run it back if his demands are met. However, many critics believe that Nate Diaz vs Conor McGregor 3 will happen before the Masvidal fight.
