Jon Jones spent the better part of his Easter Sunday evening responding to questions from fans. The UFC Light Heavyweight Champion also took this chance to respond to a scathing Tweet posted by Israel Adesanya.

The undefeated UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, refers to Jones’ unforgettable quote “Hey p***y are you still there?” from an interview with Daniel Cormier while calling Jones out.

Jones took to Twitter to respond to Adesanya by posting a picture of the Nigerian fighter. The picture was a reference to the time when Alex Pereira knocked Adesanya out, back in 2017 in Sao Paulo Brazil.

Jones deleted the post and the tampon reference in quite a hurry. However, it wasn’t enough to keep the post away from Adesanya’s sight. Considering how nothing ever truly goes away once posted on the internet.

“Did he do a post & delete Dwight? I been KO’d once and I never made that mistake again. How many times you been arrested? How many times you pissed hot, how many times you had your belt taken off you? (someone answer these) You never learn you PulsingPictoPussy.”- Israel Adesanya

Adesanya also retweeted a screenshot of a post from November when Jones claimed that he will not be taking up a fight against Adesnaya till 2021.

“You get no more responses out of me until 2021. I’ll be interested to hear your excuse then.”- Jon Jones

The bad blood between the two champions has been escalating for quite some time now. Adesanya’s last title defense saw Jones hurl criticisms at The Last Stylebender.

“Yoel is almost 10 years older than me and almost won that fight without using his wrestling. That’s all I’ll say.”- Jon Jones on Twitter

Following Jones’ arrest, Adesanya took the opportunity to put Jones in his place, the best way he knew how. By taking it up on social media and trashing Bones.

Adesanya expects to cross paths with Jones at some point in time. However, he is going to focus on defending his middleweight title for the time being. He took on Yoel Romero as his first title defense and now looks to take on Paulo Costa next.

Jones, on the other hand, is coming off back to back close calls against Thiago Santos and Dominick Reyes. He managed to avoid jail time with his recent run-in with the law. However, the fighter vows to get on the road to recovery and wants to put all this behind.

Fans have seen both fighters going back and forth on multiple occasions. They tend to pick up each and every fault to publicize it in the form of trash talk.
