Fulltime Fighter is a series that highlights BMF Champion Jorge Masvidal on his journey inside and outside the octagon. It consists of 8 episodes of which 6 are available to watch. The UFC 251 Welterweight Challenger explains why the episodes aren’t free. He shared a 2-minute montage of himself in training to convince his fans to invest in the series. The fighter begins by promoting the video as something that will advise people on, “How to survive in the streets and in the cage.”

First, we see Masvidal sprinting down a road in what is an exercise to help build his stamina. He says, “The plan is to get better every day. I don’t have an opponent every time I sign, but I gotta be ready for whoever it is that they throw in front of me, I gotta be prepared.”

It is this very dedication that led to Masvidal being able to slot into the UFC 251 main event at such short notice. 

Following this, we get a sequence of the 3rd ranked Welterweight practicing his jabs akin to a boxer. Also, as the sport doesn’t comprise only of strikers, ‘Gamebred’ needs to be proficient on the mat as well. We see him work on a multitude of takedown defenses and grappling counters.

In addition to working with a trainer, the fighter even has sparring sessions inside a makeshift octagon. These help him maintain concentration, avoid lapses, and remain sharp for a fight.

Masvidal won his last 3 fights via stoppage, this is a testament to his KO power. We see him work on his kicks and the mesmerizing flying knee which propelled his stock in the UFC. Also, he focuses on the all-important leg kicks and manages to administer them at alarming speed including a spinning leg kick. Amidst this, he even engages in deadlifts.

These are a clear explanation of his nickname as we get to see how is ‘bred to be game.’

Jorge Masvidal will enter his 49th professional fight on Saturday. However, it will be the first time he fights for a divisional belt in the UFC. Can the 35-year-old add the Welterweight belt to his BMF Championship?
