Jon Jones lived up to Anthony Smith’s assessment of him. He just couldn’t resist showing how “cool” he is. With his stellar record, he can’t be blamed for considering himself as such.

‘Bones’ replied to the comments made by ‘Lionheart’ on SiriusXM Fight Nation. He hit out at his fellow competitor’s careless behavior and advised him to invest in self-defense items and even said he could have had his way with ‘Lionheart.’ The comments also were aimed to mock the fighter who labeled the incident as “one of the toughest fights.”

Jon Jones hits back at Anthony Smith

The UFC Light Heavyweight Champion wrote, “Anthony If you’re going to leave your garage door open all night, hurry up and (buy) the family a gun, some mace or something. A douche bag more like me could’ve completely had his way with you all night, that could’ve been bad for everyone.”

But his tirade did not end there. Moments later, he deleted his tweet, but not before goading his followers to take a screenshot. In another tweet, he called the deleting, “his favorite part.”

‘Lionheart’ shared his experience in combating an intruder earlier in the month. ‘Bones’ took it as an opportunity to brag and commented that the man would not have left his house walking.

‘Lionheart’ responded by labeling ‘Bones’ “a f***ing d*****bag.”

Will the 3rd ranked Light Heavyweight respond to ‘Bones?’ He does have the material in the last line of the deleted tweet to challenge the top-ranked pound for pound fighter to a showdown in the Octagon.

‘Lionheart’ could have won the fight at UFC 235 after ‘Bones’ landed an illegal knee. However, he gamely carried on and lost via unanimous decision.

‘Bones’, on his part, is on a one-year probation after his latest brush with the law. He was found driving while intoxicated in the early hours of the 26th of March. He avoided jail time and was not stripped of his title. His next title defense is not known, but fans speculate that it is only a matter of time before he is stopped.

Will the UFC hand the next title opportunity to ‘The Devastator?’ Or could they see a big opportunity with the ‘Lionheart’ fighting for Light Heavyweight title?
