

Ray Borg, the former bantamweight prodigy of UFC, has brought a shocking halt to his MMA journey at this point. The 27-year-old took to Twitter and dropped a bomb, revealing how hard his life has been since the past few years.
While MMA fans saw him fight veterans inside the UFC cage, Borg had to fight some personal life battles too. Citing them to be a reason for his psychological displeasure, ‘The Taz Mexican Devil’ has vowed to take a break recently.

Borg appeared last against Ricky Simon on May 13. 2020 at the Fight Night event. He managed to out struck his opponent throughout, however, took considerable damage too, in the process.

After a three-rounder battle, Borg was deprived of the win via unanimous decision. It is believed to be his last fight under UFC for the timing.
Borg posted an emotional message on social media and announced his departure for the moment, leaving a lot of fans disheartened.
As the UFC sensation said, he and his wife have had a rough time dealing with their firstborns’ medical complications. Surprisingly, Borg claims himself to have let his personal life affect his career at the most important stage.

However, the American fighter clarified that he has received immense support from Sean Shelby, Mick Maynard, and UFC chief Dana White. Not to forget, he also added his manager Ali Abdelaziz on the list.
“Just want to thank my team for standing with me through all this and having my back, also want to thank my manager Ali for always having my back, no matter how hard it has been, he has always been there,” wrote Borg.

Is it time to say goodbye to the MMA?
Well, it may look like it the time to bid farewell. However, Borg stated that he will not retire anytime sooner. Neither did he tease about his potential move to some other promotion in the world.

Although Borg revealed that he will part ways with UFC. He called it to be a disappointing move.

“I am gutted to part ways with the UFC but I am also grateful for all the cool experiences I have taken part over the years, I have some psychological s*** I need to figure out before I know my next move is, so this is not a goodbye post rather a temporary pause until I can come back better,” wrote the American.
Despite calling it off so far, Tay Borg boasts a decent UFC record with 7 wins and 5 losses.
