Veteran NBA All-Star Shaquille O’Neal is all set for his latest venture into the media world. In his new show called ‘Shaq Life’, the audience follows Big Shaq as he ventures into business and hobbies.
The show premiered only last week, and fans are already gearing up for the next episode. Reportedly, the next episode will be diving deep into Shaq’s love for MMA. According to ESPN, the show will feature various MMA professionals.
In an interview with Ariel Helwani, Shaq spoke at length about the upcoming episode. In a stunning revelation, Shaq confirmed that one of the UFC fighters who will feature in the episode is none other than ‘Gamebred‘ Jorge Masvidal.

This is what Shaq had to say about him:
“One of my favorite fighters. To me, there’s two different kinds of fighters. There [are] the fighters that come in in perfect shape. No body-fat, [etc]. And then there [are] the ones who just like to fight. Like me. That’s what Jorge is. Like, when I saw him, I knew he was a fighter. But I didn’t know he was as bad as he was.”
Undoubtedly, Jorge Masvidal is as bad as they come. Even though he has had a splendid career, it spiked when he kneed Ben Askren unconscious within two seconds of their fight. However, it was his fight for the Baddest Motherfuc*er title that caught Shaq’s attention.

Apparently, Shaq first saw Masvidal inside the octagon when he went up against Nate Diaz for the celebratory BMF Belt. While he didn’t hold Masvidal in very high regard before the fight, his opinions changed drastically after he beat Nate.
“He showed me a couple of moves and I was like, okay. But then, when he got into the ring, that actually was my first time seeing him fight. I was like ‘wow, this guy is real!’. Like, I can tell who’s real and who’s not real. He’s definitely one of my favorites. What he did to my guy [Nate Diaz]? Phew. Diaz brothers? Nick? I love them ever since they first came out. But, he [Masvidal] can fight.”

Masvidal truly did put on a great performance that night. A performance that was more than enough to warrants such a reaction for “Diesel Shaq” himself. The doctor called the fight to a stop due to the immense damage that Nate absorbed.
