Despite being booked for a fight, Darren Till still doesn’t mind calling fighters out on Twitter. When the Brit recently went on a spree calling out a number of middleweights, he ended up having a heated exchange with fellow 185-pounder Derek Brunson.

Brunson drew first blood between the two after claiming to win $20,000 in a bet. He was confident that he Till wouldn’t mention his name and this is what ended up, supposedly, making him rich.

However, not the one to let such matters slide by, Till fired back at Bunson, labeling him as a bum.

While Till most likely intended to troll Brunson, the latter took it as an affirmation for a fight that can take place between the two.

Darren Till sends a hilarious text to UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard

Till hasn’t had the best of runs in the Octagon as of late. Even then his social media skills have always been on point. He has been a part of several exchanges on Twitter that have often gone south, for instance, the one against Mike Perry. Regardless, Till has never allowed anything to dwindle his sense of sarcasm.

The same sense was on full display against Derek Brunson as well. He took an unprecedented step when he sent a message to UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard talking about Derek Brunson.

Brunson fought fire with fire against Till. He also made it clear that everything going on here is just business and nothing personal.

Till is currently set to face off against Jack Hermansson later this year in December. Regardless he is ready to fight Brunson once he gets past the ace grappler from Sweden.

Unlike Till who suffered a defeat in his last fought against former middleweight champ Robert Whittaker, Brunson is coming off a win. He stopped the young and undefeated Edmen Shahbazyan in the third round in their meeting in August.

The move to Sanford MMA seems to be having a positive effect on Brunson. He still has room to grow despite being 36 years of age. Moreover, most of his defeats have come against quality competition. For instance, three of his last four setbacks have been against former champions, which includes a controversial split decision loss against Anderson Silva.

Till, on the other hand, is looking to firmly set his footing in the division. The first step for him to do so would be to get back to his winning ways by defeating Hermansson.
