Donald Cerrone is back on track and is looking forward to his stint at UFC 249. He will take on his pal Anthony Pettis for the second time.

The first time that the two met, Pettis landed devastating knee strikes right to the liver of Cowboy, winning by TKO. However, Cerrone is looking to turn the tables this time around.

He is one of the most illustrious athletes to enter the MMA Octagon. A fighter by spirit, he is always looking for his next match, to quench the thirst of his inner warrior.

Of course, in a sport like MMA, you win some; you lose some. There are days when you just can’t perform. However, while one is placed under extreme scrutiny when he rides a low tide, glory of the same magnitude awaits the fighter when he wins.

Cerrone has had his fair share of ups and downs. His last loss came at the hands of Conor McGregor when they clashed in January. Cerrone lost via TKO within 42 seconds of the round. He became subject to brutal criticism, especially by Sports Analyst Stephen A. Smith.

In the digital press conference for UFC 249, Cerrone revealed what he had to say about all the ‘hatred’. He said,

“It doesn’t define me. I look in the mirror, I don’t give a sh*t about what the people [are saying]. Yeah, I don’t pay attention. I don’t read nothing, I don’t watch nothing. I don’t get on social media and see what people have to say.”

Carrying on with the interview, Cerrone said,

“I think I’m really good at staying the hell away. I got my ranch [where] I live. I’ve got so much life going on that I don’t have any idea what the people that don’t have life going on have to say.”
