UFC fighters usually have a good amount of banter with the former UFC fighters turned commentators. Daniel Cormier has been a regular feature at the announce desk for a few years. But following UFC 252, he transitioned full time and will make regular appearances in the company of Jon Anik and company. At UFC Fight Night 176, Cormier had an interaction with the UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.
The UFC post-fight show host touched upon this and asked the fighter about the incident where he and ‘DC’ were “jawing” at each other. Usman obliged and shared the story with the viewers. He said, “‘DC’ feels I don’t have time for him anymore and that’s not true. I got some time for him when I’m not hanging out with championship friends.”

Fans could interpret this as a sly dig at the former fighter for losing back-to-back championship fights to Stipe Miocic. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ broke into a sheepish smile as he finished his sentence.
It will be interesting to see what Cormier has to say about Usman’s cheeky statement.
Kamaru Usman looks primed and ready to go
‘The Nigerian Nightmare‘ was not bearing the scars of his UFC 251 fight against Jorge Masvidal. He received a six-month medical suspension but could render it void if a medical professional deems him injury-free.

This seems to be the way things are progressing as the UFC is considering the welterweight title fight for the year’s final PPV UFC 256. His opponent, Gilbert Burns, will be well-rested following his battle with the coronavirus and is ready to present him a stern test both in the striking and in the clinch.
