Derrick Lewis hasn’t been a part of Dana White’s ambitious Fight Island. However, ‘The Black Beast’ is still making headlines with his unprecedented mic skills, which many consider the best in UFC.

Derrick’s mic skills have amazed the UFC fan base in the past, and it continues to do so. After the fruition of UFC Fight Night 174, Derrick took to social media and grabbed garnered a lot of attention.

While most of the UFC fighters delivered their opinion over the matchups,  Lewis did something completely different. The 35-year-old American reportedly wished a fan a happy birthday after the fan bet his money on it.

In fact, Lewis used his familiar phrase ‘my ba**s was hot’ to excite the fan named Josh.

Jed I. Goodman posted a video of Derrick Lewis to Twitter. While it may not be clear to many ‘who Josh is’, Goodman’s Twitter handle clarified the scenario to the world.

Reportedly, a fan named Josh, wagered $50 on Derrick Lewis to wish him a happy birthday with the phrase “your ba**s was hot”. It’s no wonder that Lewis did not disappoint his fan.

“I would like to give a birthday shout out to Josh. Hey, Josh, happy birthday man. I heard that your ba*** were so hot lately, you now over the last few years that your ba*** were so damn hot that you even fired Bob, Kim, Maurio, and of course tomorrow I am gonna get your ass, you have a fire put on. Anyways happy birthday man, and wish you many more,” said Lewis.

While the names he took remain a mystery to many, Lewis seemingly made his fan’s day with a unique and hilarious birthday wish.

“Ba**s was hot”- When did it all begin?

Lewis knocked out Alexander Volkov in their heavyweight matchup at the main card of UFC 229 ‘McGregor vs Khabib’ in 2018. After notching the win, Lewis was spotted shredding his pants.

Unsurprisingly, he was asked to detail his actions when ‘The Black Beast’ said, “his ba*** was hot”

The hilarious phrase immediately took off and became a popular line amongst the MMA fanbase. While it’s been more than two years since the incident, the phrase continues to thrill the fans.

Lewis is currently on a two-fight win streak, boasting of a pro record of 23-7-1 (NC). He is one of the deadliest heavyweights on the roster. He is the number four ranked heavyweight at this point, and a couple of more victories would bring him in the heavyweight title tale.

However, Lewis’s upcoming fight hasn’t been announced yet.
