Francis Ngannou fires a warning shot to Jon Jones

‘The Predator’ took to Instagram and wrote, “Everybody do have punching power my friend. But not my power. I hit you like this, you won’t keep going.”

Accompanying the post was a still of ‘Bones’ taking a mean left hand.

‘The Predator’ certainly has freakishly insane power. It has been on display in each of his last 4 fights where he  knocked out his opponents in the first round. At UFC 249, fans opine that the blow which knocked out Jairzinho Rozenstruik was not as big as the initial 3 swings, which were off target.

‘Bones’, however, dismissed ‘The Predator’s power and called his haymaker “too slow.” Later he tweeted he’d “love that big money fight around now. Send the deal.

‘The Predator’ wants a title fight next. However, he may not get it soon as Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier are holding up the division. The champion says he won’t fight before August, which will only add to the 2nd ranked contender’s frustration. This may not bode well for anyone who is sent a deal to fight him, which in this case may be ‘Bones.’

The top-ranked pound-for-pound fighter is coming off a debatable Unanimous decision win over Dominick Reyes. There are calls for a rematch, and Dana White too has indicated that ‘The Dominator’ will get one soon. He states he can beat Francis Ngannou by “just being himself.” Though, based on his form, the validity of this statement does not hold much weight.

Will a move to Heavyweight by the end of Jon Jones? Or, can he adapt to a new division and overcome challenges to further solidify his status as one of the UFC’s most dominant?
