Sean, 25, is on a roll in the UFC. The undefeated bantamweight is on a twelve-fight win streak. Eight of his victories came via knockouts. And many of his fights didn’t even see the second round. His last bout took place at UFC 250. The American fighter steamrolled through veteran Eddie Wineland in an impressive walk-off knockout.
Fans are eager to see Sean back in action. And it may not be long before we see him again in the cage. On a recent episode of ‘This Past Weekend,’ the young athlete discussed a quick return to the Octagon.

“For me, my advantage is my footwork and my movement. So the bigger the cage, the better for me. So Fight Island’s gonna have a big cage. Vegas has a smaller cage. But I’d way rather fight in Vegas, but I’d rather fight in a bigger cage.”

O’Malley discusses potential opponent
Marlon Vera and Sean O’Malley have developed quite the rivalry. The duo was scheduled to fight in 2019. However, Sean had to pull out due to a failed USADA test. Vera couldn’t digest the news and labeled Sean as a “cheater.” Since then, the duo has been going back and forth.
“Hopefully we’re gonna fight in August. I’m supposed to fight ‘Chito’ [Marlon Vera],” Sean said.

Vera lost his last fight in a controversial decision. Many—including O’Malley—thinks he won that match. Surprisingly, Sean complimented Vera’s durability.

“I’ll fight him. I know he’s coming off a loss. And you’re supposed to have winners fight winners. UFC thought he won, I thought he won. That could be a fight to make.”
