Colby Covington might be a brilliant trash talker at his peak in the UFC. But there’s still no denying that he is an equally skilled welterweight contender in the promotion.

Colby boasts a sensational pro-MMA record of 15-2 and is already a global superstar. Much of this is thanks to his charismatic nature, which many consider brash. Even so, ‘Chaos’ has seemingly managed to cement his persona as one of the best entertainers of the MMA community.

Colby Covington has never hesitated in denouncing his rivals on public platforms. Even if he is on the losing side, Colby maintains his stance on social media. He was unsuccessful in his attempt at claiming the UFC welterweight strap against Kamaru Usman at UFC 245. Despite that, he has frequently humiliated the ‘Nigerian Nightmare’ in several interviews.

So I say the biggest thing in my mentality is just to stay focussed. More of mind than body. You can convince your mind.

“If you put the actual work to do whatever it takes. You work on the boxing, you work on the Jiu-Jitsu, and you find a way. Find a way, even if there’s not a conventional way, find a way around. Find a shortcut, find the way to get it done. You just believe in yourself,” said Covington.
