There have been massive delays in announcing the same nearly two months after ‘Funk Master’ submitted Cory Sandhagen at UFC 250.

However, following UFC Fight Night: Munhoz vs Edgar, UFC President Dana White dropped a massive hint that it is only a matter of time before they promotion books Petr Yan to defend against Sterling.

‘Funk Master’ took to Instagram and promised to bring the belt home to Jamaica. He even addressed his trash-talking and says he does it as it means he has to train better to perform better.

In the video, he revealed that he lives his life by a single quote. “The difference is what I do when nobody is watching.”

Sterling wrote, “It’s time to realize a dream! (Petr Yan) is a tough opponent and I talk shit because it motivates me to train harder to back up my words and it’s how we grew up at home. Soon I will give Jamaica it’s first (UFC) champion, and show the world to never give up on yourself if you work hard in life! I WILL sit on that bantamweight throne!”
