Daniel Cormier will bid goodbye to his storied MMA career after he faces Stipe Miocic for the third time in the headliner of UFC 252.

Apart from the heavyweight strap, there’s much more at stake for both the contenders. However, DC might have an additional urge to avenge his loss against Miocic from UFC 241. That said, renowned rapper Lil Wayne is eagerly awaiting the bout.

Lil Wayne has been an MMA fan throughout, and as DC gears up for his Last Dance, the Grammy award winner gave his take on the situation.

Lil Wayne doesn’t want to step inside the cage with Daniel Cormier

In an interaction with Sports Center, Lil Wayne revealed how Cormier would be a different man in his farewell contest.

Since DC lost his re-match against Miocic at UFC 241, it brought up one more man other than Jones to have handed him a defeat. Predictably, Cormier appeared vexed after the fight, citing no particular reason behind the loss.

Now, Lil Wayne reminisced about the incident and said, “I remember the pain, the agony, you know, that DC felt after losing and I think that motivation right there would be going. I would be scared, I would be afraid to step into the octagon with that man. No one knows how much that meant to him and its nice to see him trying to get that retaliation.”

However, it is bizarre to even think that Miocic and rapper Lil Wayne would keep a similar mind frame in the fight game. Wayne equally hailed Miocic for showing up and stated, “I would be afraid to step in but Stipe, he is Stipe. That’s what they do

What happens after UFC 252?

Cormier would retire after UFC 252, leaving a lot of fans disheartened. However, Miocic is expected to remain active for some more time.

Meanwhile, Dana White has already clarified that Miocic would rematch with Ngannou after UFC 252 for the Heavyweight title.

If won, Miocic would defend his title. If not, he will fight against ‘The Predator’ for the vacated UFC gold. Thus, it is safe to state that the current Heavyweight champion will not let go of the title race with such ease.

Since Ngannou has been billed as the next title contender, White & team are planning something massive for their heavyweight division. At least that’s what Dana White said in a recent interview with The Schmo.
