

Former two-division UFC champion Daniel Cormier spoke out via ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ and took a look back. He commented on a possible match-up that almost came to fruition while he was the undisputed heavyweight world champion.
Cormier expressed his views on fighting Brock Lesnar, who flirted with the idea of a return to MMA.
The former Olympian in Cormier is largely considered as one of the best to ever do it inside the cage. His credentials span across multiple weight classes and he holds wins over some of the most accomplished fighters.

Not to mention, his prowess as a UFC commentator and analyst has set him up for a fruitful career after he hangs his gloves up for good.

DC was slated to scrap against former champion Brock Lesnar following his emphatic win over Stipe Miocic. The two fighters immediately squared off against each other inside the octagon, and a shoving match ensued.

DC touched upon a once-possible bout and predicted the outcome of the aforementioned fantasy match-up.

“I would have crushed Brock Lesnar. I would have walked Brock Lesnar out of the octagon. For me it would have been a great visual, Brock’s this big hulking guy, I’m small, I’m pudgy and I’m gonna kick Brock’s a**. It would have been perfect for me.”
Daniel Cormier is far removed from these incidents involving Lesnar and will look to finish off his career in August 2020. The AKA team captain will face-off against Stipe Miocic in a highly anticipated rubber match.
The fight is a high stakes affair that will go a long way in deciding the greatest heavyweight combatant.
