“I’d Slap Him Across His Face” – Justin Gaethje Gives His Thoughts on “Fake” Colby Covington

Justin Gaethje seems to have added his name to a list of fighters that despise Colby Covington. The welterweight superstar has rubbed many people the wrong way, as Colby is known for making controversial comments on the microphone.

While this makes for more entertainment, it has made Covington innumerable enemies in the sport. Some of them would love to put a beating on him if possible. 

A few days ago, Covington, Ali Abdelaziz, Henry Cejudo, and Dana White attended an event organized by US President Donald Trump. Following the event, Covington gave a few interviews that did not sit well with the interim lightweight champion, Justin Gaethje.

Justin Gaethje blasts Colby Covington

Prior to his fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, in a recent interview, gave his thoughts on his interaction with Colby at the aforementioned event.

I was — you know, singing his praises because of how professional he was. And I guess how he held himself. But then he went on to do a bunch of interviews. I probably despise that man more than anyone else on planet earth. Other than pedophiles and murderers,” Gaethje said.

He is a coward. You know he is a fake person. He stands there and acts like this soft-hearted dude. Then he gets behind a camera and is a total coward and a fake person. I’ve never met anyone as fake as Colby Covington. And yeah, as a man I would love to slap him across his face.”

‘The Highlight’ is one of the many people who have accused Covington of being two-faced. Covington recently spoke in an interview and said that Justin was reckless and critiqued his style of fighting. This does not seem to have gone down well with the interim lightweight champion, as he prepares for the biggest fight of his career.
