“I’ll Fight Him Again” – Jairzinho Rozenstruik Won’t Back Down From Francis Ngannou Rematch

Heavyweight contender Jairzinho Rozenstruik said that he will not hesitate from fighting Francis Ngannou again. The Suriname native also discussed his upcoming fight against Junior dos Santos.
Last May, Rozenstruik suffered his first-ever loss in the UFC. The 32-year-old was on the verge of receiving a title shot. However, he was brutally knocked out by former title challenger Francis Ngannou in 20 seconds. In a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Rozenstruik talked about his only MMA loss.

Jairzinho Rozenstruik has no regrets
Even though he was disposed of quickly, Rozenstruik has no regrets. The #6 ranked contender asserted that his dream is still alive.

“Regret? No. It was a big chance. We know It was a big fight, a big challenge. It didn’t go my way, my dream still alive. I hope he becomes champion. If you ask me to fight him tomorrow, I’ll fight him again.
“It’s respect. Its all business and I wish him luck. And hopefully, I’ll see him around.”
Rozenstruik did not talk much about post-fight feelings. But he acknowledged that it did not feel good.
“We don’t really get into it. It happens in fights. A loss, a defeat is always not good, not nice. And yeah, It sucks… Now I am back in the gym, training hard. Let’s try it again, lets go back in the octagon. That’s most what I am looking forward to.

Rozenstruik talks about his next fight
The 10-1 fighter will fight former heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos at UFC 252. Both Santos and Rozenstruik train at the same gym. As per Rozenstruik, they have never trained together before.

“I just get the opportunity and then I say yes. I mean no disrespect to Junior. He’s a nice guy. We train by the same gym. Every time I see him, he is always nice… Good guy. But at the end of the day, it’s gonna be business that we have to settle. If I see an opportunity, I take it.”
