Colby Covington has a long-standing beef with former friend and training partner Jorge Masvidal. The Welterweight fighter never misses an opportunity to trash talk the BMF Champion. Now, ‘Chaos’ decided to modify the name of the symbolic title held by his divisional fighter and adapt it in a manner only he can.

In a chat with BJPENN.com Radio, the former UFC Welterweight Interim Champion offered his services to Dana White. He said, “I know Dana’s having a dispute with ‘Street Judas’ Masvidal right now. Hey Dana, you know who to call. Call me, bro. I’ll finish ‘Street Judas’ off.”

Covington said, “I’ll send that dude to the morgue, he won’t ever fight again. He’s got the BMF title, but that’s not even a real title, it’s a participation trophy. He’s really got the SMF title right now. The saddest motherf**ker, or the scaredest motherf**ker. It wasn’t a money issue, it was a scared issue.”

Recently, the 2nd ranked Welterweight fighter’s long-time gym, American Top Team, tossed him out due to his trash-talking ways. This decision also stemmed from his issues with fellow gym fighters, including Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Jorge Masvidal, and Dustin Poirier. Whilst he has laid off the others, his issues with ‘Gamebred’ continue.

Earlier, ‘Chaos’ claimed that ‘Gamebred’ would not make it past round 1 if the two ever clashed in the cage. He even trolled the BMF Champion for running away from a fight against Kamaru Usman.

Akin to Masvidal, Covington to is yet to fight this year. He last competed in the cage at UFC 245 in December. Here, he failed in his quest to dethrone ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ and ascend to the peak of the 170-pound division.

‘Chaos’ desperately wants Masvidal, having at one point threatened to fight him on the streets as well. He is due a return to the Octagon and if the UFC books this fight, it could interest ‘Gamebred.’ Furthermore, in capitalizing on the duo’s real-life tension, the company could rake in a handsome amount and compensate the fighters adequately.

Do you see Dana White using Colby Covington and using him to get Jorge Masvidal back into the cage?
