Both women received a standing ovation after the fight. Many consider it as a Hall of Fame worthy fight.

Although Joanna was unsuccessful in winning the gold, her heart and courage have to be appreciated. During the fight, she suffered from one of the nastiest hematomas in UFC history. Her forehead swelled up to a point where she was almost unrecognisable.

Apart from that, her nose also suffered a ton of damage. Check out the picture below of Joanna Jedrzejczyk after the fight.

Dana White has nothing but praise for Joanna Jedrzejczyk

During UFC 248 post-fight press conference, a reporter asked Dana White how much the UFC values Joanna Jedrzejczyk. White had this to say;

“I’m incredibly lucky. She’s an amazing human being,”

He then complimented Joanna’s evolution in the game. Joanna has evolved both inside as well as outside of the UFC. Widely regarded as the “Boogeywoman” in the UFC, she is the complete opposite outside of it. Joanna has a modelling career outside of the UFC.

White said, “She looked so good. She made the weight cut easy, played the mind games as she does and did everything she could to win the fight.”

“She has built that division, started it and after all these years, she can get me that excited for a f**king fight.”

Joanna has been in the UFC for quite a while now. She became the strawweight champion in her third fight in the UFC and was undefeated for a long time. During her title reign, she completely outclassed her opponents.
