Michael Bisping appeared on Submission Radio to discuss a variety of topics with Kacper Rosolowski and Denis Shkuratov. He spoke about the Coronavirus and heeds the advice of medical professionals. Furthermore, he shared his views on UFC 249, echoing the sentiments of numerous people. The hosts began the conversation with a promise to make it short and sweet. ‘The Count’ took it seriously and aimed to rush over the topic of Conor McGregor and his next opponent.

Michael Bisping is reluctant to talk about Conor McGregor

“I have no idea and I couldn’t care less. Contact Conor, he’ll tell you all about it. What you wanna ask me, I’m not here to discuss Conor McGregor. I’m a busy man. Don’t waste my time asking me about Conor McGregor,” said Bisping

This is because McGregor is short on opponents due to the uncertainty around the UFC Lightweight Championship. The original bout featured Tony Ferguson fighting Khabib Nurmagomedov for the title. However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the match was replaced with an Interim Lightweight Championship fight. In this fight, Tony Ferguson will fight Justin Gaethje. With all these fighters occupied, McGregor is short of a viable opponent.  His next competitor is anyone’s guess.

Earlier on an episode of his podcast ‘Believe You Me’, ‘The Count’ said McGregor vs Diaz 3 is a viable option. He said the same thing in January to Ariel Helwani in the aftermath of ‘Notorious’ incredible 40-second win over Donald Cerrone. He had given an opinion on the same which could be the reason he was so short about it on Submission Radio.

‘Notorious’ continues to train in Ireland and maintains that he is ready to return at any time. He even threw his name into the hat for UFC 249. The Irish fighter plans to fight three times a year to make up for lost time. Who do you think he will face next?
