“I’m Not Letting Him Off the Hook This Time”- Daniel Cormier Sends Stipe Miocic a Warning

Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic are all set for battle inside the octagon to determine who is the greatest Heavyweight at the UFC 252 headliner.

The Heavyweight gladiators have fought twice in the past, with both the men notching victories over the other via knockouts. However, Cormier still managed to outpoint Miocic in both the contests.

While the first fight was all about the ‘DC’ show, Cormier displayed something similar in the second fight until he got droppedin the fourth round.

Daniel Cormier claims to defeat Stipe Miocic in the trilogy bout

Cormier, 41, recently took to Twitter and analyzed his last performance against Miocic. He posted a picture of the scorecard and took note of the third round.

If you recall the rematch between Miocic and Cormier, it was clear that DC overpowered his rival for the initial two rounds.

However, Miocic bounced back in the third round and finally sealed the victory in his favor by knocking DC out cold.

Now, DC appears surprised with the judges for giving the third round to Miocic. He also clarified about putting a show against Miocic in their trilogy encounter with his recent tweet.

“Kinda crazy to think in that 2nd fight someone was able to score 3rd round for him. I’m not letting him off the hook this time,” wrote DC.

As per reports, it is going to be Cormier’s last fight in UFC. The final edition of the trilogy saga against Miocic is a just end to his stellar career.

However, the tables may turn if Cormier were to reclaim the heavyweight strap. He would either have to vacate or defend the title.

UFC 252- Preview

UFC 252- headlined by Cormier vs Miocic- will be held on August 15, 2020, at the APEX Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Miocic (19-3 in MMA) is the reigning UFC Heavyweight champion. Thus, he would have to defend his belt against Cormier to retain his position at the top of the food chain.

Since the fight is being touted as the fight to settle the debate around the greatest heavyweight fighter in the UFC, Miocic will be fighting for more than just his title.

Even if their rivalry is not born of bad blood, DC and Miocic have already shared quite a lot of intense moments between them. No wonder UFC fans are also hyped up for the upcoming heavyweight thriller.
