

Stipe Miocic spoke out on Instagram regarding the current scenario unfolding in the United States of America. Following the death of George Floyd, the country has been involved in protests.
Stipe Miocic used his social media platform to talk about the current situation. He went on to explain his stance while interacting with commenters on his post.

These protests have ranged from peaceful rallies to all-out violence in as many as 40 states. The police have arrested the Caucasian police officer, Derek Chauvin, for alleged homicide.
The incident took place when a Deli owner called the police on Floyd for suspicion of forgery. The police manhandled him while he was in custody, a disturbing video caught on tape by a bystander. Chauvin placed his knee on the neck of Floyd for almost nine minutes. Moreover, he was unresponsive for almost three minutes.
Although there is a debate about the next phase of action, it remains clear that tough conversations are ahead. In light of these events, media discussions are underway.
The Heavyweight Champion joined the #blackouttuesday social media campaign in solidarity. The campaign begins an honest and productive conversation to ways in which the Black community can be supported.
Stipe Miocic has been serving as a first responder during the pandemic joined in on this conversation. Many other fighters stood in solidarity for the same.

Comments on his post also outlined the facts that a majority of Stipe’s following was white. “I’m not worried about my fan base. I’m worried about the world my daughter has to grow up in” he said.
Miocic went on to powerfully communicate his views on the situation. He believes that a larger conversation is to be had.
Miocic also spoke towards his responsibility to the community he has sworn to serve. He went off on people spreading negativity in the comments.

“I took an oath that doesn’t discriminate against skin tone. Never did I say I support violence or that there isn’t black on white crime. I’m posting my respect for my friends and co-workers in solidarity and you got a problem with that.”
The issue is the final straw that caused the nation to take a stand. Stipe Miocic remains steadfast in his devotion to the community.
