Earlier today Boser posted a picture of himself signing the contract for his next fight. While he didn’t reveal the opponent then, we now know it is Arlovski. Boser has also signed a new four-fight contract with the UFC before his last fight.

Boser is coming off back-to-back wins in the UFC in the past two months. He defeated Phillipe Lins via KO in the very first round on the preliminary card of UFC on ESPN 12. This was the last event before the UFC headed over to Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.
The 28-year-old received yet another opportunity to fight on the closing card of the UFC’s proceedings on Fight Island. The fighter from Edmonton accepted a short-notice fight. He replaced Justin Tafa to fight Raphael Passoa. Boser bagged another TKO victory in the second round, thus adding to his newfound hype.
The news of the booking was reported by Aaron Bronsteter of TSN.

Andrei Arlovski will be looking to build a win-streak in the UFC against Tanner Boser
Andrei Arlovski is the type of fighter who has been there and done that. The 41-year old has had a prolific fighting career with stints in all major promotions including the UFC, Strikeforce, WSOF, and ONE Championship. He even managed to capture UFC gold during his first run with the organization. With 18 wins in the organization, Arlovski holds the record for the most wins in divisional history.

‘The Pitbull’, however, hasn’t had a lot of success in his second run with the UFC that began in 2014. He won his last outing against Philipe Lins in May earlier this year. However, his record stands at a meager 8-9-1 since he resigned with the UFC.

With age not on his side anymore, a win for Arlovski wouldn’t have any major implications in the division. Regardless, he will be looking to grab as many victories as possible in the twilight of his career. While Boser is a streaking prospect, a former champ Fabricio Werdum has just shown us last week that you can never count a veteran out.
