Adesanya quickly rose to prominence in the sport following his debut in 2018. The New Zealand native entered the promotion as a highly touted prospect. He was a world champion kickboxer with a mind-boggling record of 75 wins and 5 losses.

Since entering the UFC, Adesanya has amassed impressive wins over the likes of Derek Brunson, Kelvin Gastelum, and Anderson Silva. Adesanya first got a taste of gold when he won his interim title against Kelvin Gastelum. He then fought Champion Robert Whittaker for the undisputed title and came out on top.

Since winning his belt in the UFC, “Izzy” made his first title defense against Yoel Romero. The fight did not live up to expectations of the fans and drew a lot of ire. However, Israel went onto secure the win and hold on to his belt. For his second title defense, Israel will face Paulo Costa at UFC 253.

Israel Adesanya accuses Paulo Costa of being “a dirty fighter”

In the aforementioned video, Adesanya was asked who he thinks is the dirtiest fighter in the sport. He replied saying, “Oooh the dirtiest fighter in the sport. There are a few. But even the guy I’m fighting next… Like I said, I’m going to pop him before USADA does.

“He has definitely got some extra supplements south of the border that he takes. He even came out and said that he has not been tested, which I don’t believe. I think they tested him. I just got tested last night.”
