A UFC legend in every right, Anderson Silva will step inside the octagon for his swan song. Leading up to the fight, the former UFC middleweight champ feels that the UFC doesn’t seem like a family anymore. When UFC President Dana White heard these comments, he seemed a bit surprised.

While talking to MMA Junkie earlier this week, ‘The Spider‘ discussed how he felt after the Fertitta brothers left the promotion. He hailed the former owner, Lorenzo Fertitta, for keeping the UFC as one big family. Silva thinks the same can’t be said about the current situation.

“I think the UFC changed for me when Lorenzo came out,” Silva told MMA Junkie. “Lorenzo tried to put inside the UFC the big family, and right now it’s completely different, but I continue to fight inside the UFC because I have a lot of friends, and I feel the same family. But, yeah, of course, it’s changed a lot when Lorenzo is not inside.”

When asked to preview the fight between Anderson Silva and Uriah Hall, Dana White also addressed the comments made by Silva.

“It’s a good question. I don’t know. He came out hot the other day. He was saying something like it doesn’t feel like family around here anymore. Listen, I’ve done everything I could possibly do for Anderson Silva. Saturday night, it’s gonna be his last fight. Can he go out with a win?” Dana said during his appearance on The Zach Gelb Show.

During his reign at the top, which was significantly long, Anderson Silva seemed untouchable. However, ever since he lost the belt, the 45-year-old Brazilian’s career has spiraled in the downward direction. Coming into the fight, he has lost both his previous bouts. The road to victory for him in his final fight won’t be any easy.
